Kagura Tsuchimiya (土宮 神楽, Tsuchimiya Kagura) is the main heroine of the manga. She is a feisty and ambitious and can put up a good fight with her Byakuei who is in the form of a dragon. She controls him from the seal on her back and a long binding chain that is connected to her and, so the pain that Byakuei feels also effects her as well. She is stronger and motivated because of the support that Kensuke Nimura gives her.
She lost her memories after temporarily becoming the host for the Kyuubi (in which Kensuke freed her from). Eventually she regains her memories and triggers the return of Yomi Isayama.

Kagura has silky short brown hair and blue eyes.
She is always seen wearing her school uniform.

Kagura's hair seems to have grown a bit and she has blue eyes.
Background[]
The anime shows a younger Kagura. Originally a shy, dutiful and sad young girl. Her meeting with Yomi Isayama after her mother's death changed her life. She came to love Yomi, who treated her like a sister, and was under great emotional stress when she found out that Yomi had turned against the Agency and all of humanity. In the anime, Kagura killed Yomi since she didn't have any other choice left.
Weapon[]
Kagura receives Byakuei from her father prior to his death, and the Michael 12 and 13. The Michael 13, a typical katana with a trigger on the hilt instead of the sheath. The hilt acts as an ammo clip and upon pulling the trigger fires three heavy recoil shots from the end, increasing strength and speed of the slash. A secondary setting fires one shot at a time but at a continuously steady pace to create a 360 degrees slash to decimate surrounding opponents. At every three shots, a shell is ejected from the hilt therefore, the sword must be "reloaded" every now and then. During its first battle with Yomi Isayama, the gun clip was detached and left Kagura without the necessary strength or power for offense. The "Michael 13" would later be destroyed in a second battle with Yomi, which is why Kensuke Nimura received the "Michael 12" instead of the 13.
- Tsuchimiya Bane Stone: Fragments of soul belongings to nine tail foxes, crystallized forms of pure supernatural energy, whoever possesses one will be granted limitless spirit power as it devours their soul alive, This stone is not the same as Yomi Bane stone that inherit all hatred. The stone in the tsuchimiya family have an ability to seal Byakuei and give strength to the holder. But it takes the life force of the user if it use on the battle. This stone place on Kagura's left ear.

Kagura obviously has feelings for Kensuke as she gets jealous when Shizuru Imawano and Kensuke are spotted alone together and she's shocked when Kyouko tells her that she should go out with Kensuke if she's worried about him.
She calls him "Ken-chan".

Although Kagura initially treats Shizuru as a rival, they become close.
Etymology[]
- The name Kagura means "Shinto music" (神楽).
- Kagura's surname Tsuchimiya means "soil, earth" (土) (tsuchi) and "temple, shrine, palace" (宮) (miya).

- It hasn't been confirmed, but Kagura thought her blood type is B as suspected in a special 'Behind the scenes' of Ga Rei Zero.
